This third quarter report not only showcases the excellent operational efficiency and business expansion capabilities of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, but also reflects the positive trend of the overall prosperity of China's port industry steadily recovering since the beginning of this year. According to the latest report released by the Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, the prosperity index of Chinese port enterprises reached 114 points in the third quarter of 2024, marking that the industry has entered a relatively prosperous range and creating a favorable external environment for the performance growth of domestic port leading enterprises such as Ningbo Zhoushan Port.
In order to seize the opportunity of industry prosperity recovery, Ningbo Zhoushan Port continues to accelerate the construction of port engineering projects. In September of this year, Ningbo Zhoushan Port announced plans to invest approximately 6.5 billion yuan to construct the first phase of the Fodu Operation Area in the Liuheng Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port (hereinafter referred to as the "Fodu Phase I Project").
In addition, the "Overall Plan for Ningbo Zhoushan Port (2035)" (hereinafter referred to as the "New Plan") was officially approved in October this year. The new plan predicts that the cargo throughput of Ningbo Zhoushan Port will reach 1.8 billion tons and the container throughput will reach 60 million standard containers by 2035, forming an overall spatial pattern of "one port, two cores, and twenty zones".
