Since the China-Laos railway opened for international freight in early December last year, the freight volume and types of freight have increased steadily. As of March 3, more than 350 China-Laos international freight trains have traveled, sending more than 250,000 tons of goods.
Since the opening and operation of the China-Laos Railway, the demand for transportation has continued to increase, and the types of goods have also continued to increase. From the initial opening of chemical fertilizers, feeds, vegetables, etc., to the current electronic products, monocrystalline silicon wafers, daily necessities and some high-end products. The communication equipment and other materials are continuously transported through the China-Laos railway, and our cargo freight products are also constantly increasing, from the initial ordinary China-Laos international freight train to the current "Lanmei Express" cold chain special train , the "Lanmei Express Line" has high timeliness, enabling customers' goods to arrive in Vientiane from Kunming within 26 hours. In order to better serve the trains, relevant departments coordinate epidemic prevention and control and transportation organizations to improve the level of port facilitation to ensure transportation. Steady Improvement of Efficiency We adopt an integrated model of transit export and national customs clearance, implement 7X24-hour scheduled customs clearance, and equip inspection robots and other intelligent equipment in customs supervision workplaces to further achieve rapid customs clearance under the supervision of the entire customs chain.
The China-Laos Railway is an important project connecting China's "Belt and Road" initiative and Laos' strategy of "turning a land-locked country into a land-linked country" with a total length of more than 1,000 kilometers. The construction of the Laos community with a shared future, businessmen engaged in international trade also benefit from the opening of the China-Laos railway. After the opening of the China-Laos railway, our logistics cost from Kunming to Vientiane South has been saved by 30%. In January this year, our (company) has been in Laos. We have started to expand our business and have already shipped from Vientiane to Kunming. With the development of China-Laos railway freight, we are more confident in the expansion of the Southeast Asian market. Laos' once single and imperfect logistics model has become history, replaced by " Modern logistics such as "road-rail combined transport" and "one-stop customs clearance" not only improve the timeliness of cargo transportation, but also greatly reduce logistics costs.
In January this year, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into effect, and the coverage of China-Laos railway freight shipment destinations has been further expanded. Currently, it has covered more than 10 countries and regions including Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, and Bangladesh.
